What is mastering? This is the question that people ask us alot. An analogy would be, like when you wash your car, it looks really good. Then when you wax your car it looks Awesome! This is kind of how mastering works, you've mix down your tracks, it sounds good. Then when you master your finished mix it sounds Awesome. This is if you give the mastering facility a good mix to work from, alot can be done to beef it up, but sometimes if the mix is bad you may have to remix it. Kind of like trying to wax a car with a bad paint, you may have to repaint it. Mastering is the essential link before duplicating/ pressing your cd. If you have not had your material mastered we stongly recommend doing so even if its not by us. There are many great engineers and facilitys out there. The biggest misconception that people say is "its just a demo, I don't need it mastered" whether its just a demo or a new release, you've put your time, effort, love, and money into it. Go all the way and get it mastered!
